The Bournemouth Air Show has been held annually since 2008 and is the biggest air show in England.

The Bournemouth Air Show doesn’t only take place in the skies of Bournemouth. It also incorporates events on land and at sea.

Each air show features aircraft from the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy as well as civilian aviation displays.

There are numerous free places to watch the 2022 Air Shows usually from a high position or many people choose to flock to the beach.

There are many venues in Bournemouth putting on ticketed events for the viewing of the air show. Lots of hotels have viewing parties around their pools with music.

Key West Restaurant Bournemouth Pier

If you wanted something unique you could book seats at the Key West Restaurant on Bournemouth Pier and watch the air show 200 meters out to sea.

Hengistbury Head

This is another unique place to watch the 2022 Air Shows on the Jurrasic Coast. You’ll be able to see the planes but you won’t hear the commentary. So if that doesn’t bother you then this is a great alternative and a lot less packed.

What time are the Fireworks at the Bournemouth Air Show?

The fireworks start at 10 pm from the end of Boscombe Pier on the Friday and on Bournemouth Pier on the Saturday.

Seeing the Bournemouth Air Show by boat is a great experience, the waters are packed full of boats all enjoying the event. Boats are for hire on the day. Park and Ride

The centre of Bournemouth and the beach are packed on the Bournemouth air show, there is a lot of traffic and it’s very difficult to park. Bournemouth council has put on a park and ride initiative. The Red Arrows is the name given to the RAF Aerobatics Team. Each year they put on an incredible display at Bournemouth Air Show.
