Open Top Bus Bournemouth – Hop On and Hop Off
The Bournemouth open-top sightseeing hop-on-hop-off Bus will be back operating on 9th April 2022.
This year there is a new route and new commentary. The new route goes right through Poole Park. There is also a new combination bike and bus ticket in conjunction with Beryl.
Every day hourly there is a fantastic open-top bus sightseeing tour starting from Bournemouth Pier taking you over to Poole Harbour, Poole Bay and the Sandbanks Peninsular.
Great value 24 and 48-hour tickets are available meaning you can hop on and hop off wherever you like with another bus coming along to pick you up every hour.
You have the fabulous opportunity to upgrade to a boat and bus ticket which means you’ll be able to enjoy a boat tour from Poole Quay around Poole Harbour. Or take the boat which will go the Swanage route and you’ll get to see the famous Old Harry Rocks.

Where does the open top bus Bournemouth leave from?
The hop on hop off bus leaves from Bournemouth Pier every hour.
Open top bus Bournemouth are Yellow Buses
Yellow buses have two open-top beach bus routes this year.
Route 11: Bournemouth Pier to Mudeford
Leaves from Bournemouth Pier and takes you to Mudeford passing through Southbourne and Christchurch. You’ll go the beach route so from the top of the bus you should get some fabulous views.
Route 12: Alum Chine to Boscombe Pier (with some of the bus journeys going to Hengistbury Head)
This route is the most popular route with the best views. You’ll get to see views of the whole coastline including Old Harry Rocks, Isle of Wight and the Needles. The whole route of this bus takes around 60 minutes and a round trip takes 2 hours.
These buses usually run every 30 minutes with some exceptions such as Good Friday where they will change to an hourly timetable.
Open Top Bus Bournemouth Tickets
You can buy a ticket when you board the bus. Concessionary customers can travel for free on the bus after 9:30 am Monday – Friday.
