The Bournemouth Wheel is Back!
After a short spell of being out of action the Bournemouth Wheel is now back for Summer 2022.
The Bournemouth Wheel can be found in front of Bournemouth Pier on the Pier approach. This is an observational Wheel and 100ft tall it rotates slowly to enable you to take in the magnificent panoramic views. With 27 gondolas and which also rotate at 360 degrees, you are sure to get a fantastic view of the whole area.
The wheel was placed in Bournemouth to replace the Bournemouth Air Balloon which used to be situated in Bournemouth Gardens.

This wheel is similar to the London Wheel. There are small seated cabins you can comfortably sit in with others and marvel at the view as you go round.
The wheel is open and operational daily between the hours of 10 am and 10 pm. It’s a great way to take in the views of Bournemouth and you’ll be able to see a clear view of Bournemouth beach, Bournemouth town Center and the stunning Bournemouth gardens.
The Bournemouth Wheel can be found on Bath Road in the centre of Bournemouth at the front of Bournemouth Pier.

Bournemouth Observation Wheel
Tickets can be purchased directly from the wheel itself when you attend. It does get extremely busy in the summer so you’ll want to make sure to get your ticket in time, as there can be ques to go on the wheel in the summer.
What months are the Bournemouth Wheel open?
The Bournemouth Wheel is open in the Months of November through to the following November. So it is closed in December.
Bournemouth Wheel Price
Prices as of 2022 are currently £6 for adults or £5 for seniors and children. A family ticket can be purchased for £22. There is also a reduction on the ticket fee for students.
After visiting the wheel why not take a walk down the end of Bournemouth Pier and stop for a coffee and take in the panoramic sea views at Key West Cafe. Alternatively, you could visit the incredible sea life center to the right of the big wheel and meet and greet different kinds of fascinating sea life.
The Pier also has a fun amusement arcade which has been created for all the family to get involved in. There are family games you can all take part in together.
To the left of the big wheel is a crazy golf course which is great fun for all the family as well. There is so much to see and do on a day out to Bournemouth Seaside.
In the lower gardens, you’ll also be able to find lots of children’s entertainers who are usually there in the summer months.
Feeling Athletic? Bournemouth Beach Gym
Be sure to check out Bournemouth’s new Beach Gym which is new in 2022. The Bournemouth Beach Gym is a new activity to the area and is free for anyone to go on.
This is a Miami-style beach gym and is sure to be very popular with visitors and residents who can enjoy a workout in front of the stunning sea and take in the salty fresh air while working out.
The fitness park is set to include: a dip bench, shaped benches, pull-up bars, a rope climber and push-up bars, among other equipment.
The Bournemouth beach gym is said to be completed in July 2022. So if you’re in Bournemouth any time after this date then don’t forget to check it out! Fun for all the family.
Bournemouth Zip Wire
If you’re already at Bournemouth Pier you may as well try another high-up activity. On Bournemouth Pier, you will find the Bournemouth Zip Wire which will take you flying from the top of Bournemouth Pier over the sea and down the to see below. You’ll get amazing views of Bournemouth and Bournemouth Beach as you fly down and the experience will be something you’ll remember for many years to come.
