1. The Oceanarium – Indoor Activities Bournemouth

Take a trip into the sea and mingle with over 150 different species of fish. Marvel at the Sharks and Stingrays. If you’re there at feeding time, you get to see your favourite penguin close up. The Oceanarium is on Pier approach and is packed full of sea life and mammals. The Penguins are our favourite.

2. Bournemouth Pier – Indoor Activities Bournemouth
Bournemouth Pier is a must-see destination. You’d be amazed at the number of activities squeezed onto the Pier. There is the Rock Reef activity centre, with underground caves and climbing walls. There is the famous, world first, Pier to beach Zip Wire leaving from 80 meters above the Pier.
There’s the beautiful Key West Bar and Grill restaurant with the most amazing views out to sea. There’s also the family amusement arcade packed with family games and the most modern of game machines. 3. Cinema – Indoor Activities Bournemouth
There are numerous cinemas in Bournemouth, they can mainly be found opposite the Pavilion on West Over Road, just off Bath Hill.

If you wanted an even more unique experience, why not nip over to Westbourne arcade and visit the smallest cinema in the UK. The Bournemouth Colosseum cinema is situated under the Vintage Lounge Cafe in Westbourne arcade. This 27 seated cinema shows an eclectic mix of movies ranging from foreign movies to film noir, Bafta award-winning, and B movies. An extremely unique experience and the perfect indoor activity for a rainy day in Bournemouth.

4. Russell Cotes Museum – Indoor Activities Bournemouth
Russell Cotes Museum is the former home of Annie Russell Cotes. The house was built in 1835 and has been kept its original Victorian features. There are 4 galleries to see in this Victorian manor home. There is a stunning garden featuring a fountain and goldfish ponds.

A stunning home that has now been made into a museum. Annie was a collector of art, and the museum displays some very famous paintings, statues, and art pieces.

5. Alice in Wonderland Adventure – Indoor Activities Bournemouth
The Alice in Wonderland Adventure in Bournemouth is voted Dorset’s Top Family Attraction.
Open all year round, this adventure park is excellent come rain or shine. There is an indoor play centre and indoor Pavilion with shows being performed twice daily for when the weather isn’t too great.

Packed full of rides and attractions choosing to spend a day out here will create so many memories for years to come. There are over 25 rides, games, and, adventures at Alice in Wonderland.
6. Westbourne Arcade – Indoor Activities Bournemouth
Westbourne Arcade is a beautiful grade II listed arcade in the centre of Westbourne. Westbourne is a town about 10 minutes drive from Bournemouth and it is known for its boutique shops and cafes. There are some lovely coffee shops serving reasonably priced freshly cooked food. Sit in the beautiful arcade while having a spot of lunch looking at the Victorian features which are still present in the grade listed arcade.

7. Bournemouth Gardens – Indoor Activities Bournemouth
The Bournemouth Gardens are outdoors but stay with us for a moment. Depending on how heavy the rain is, walking through the gardens, perhaps on your way to Bournemouth Pier holding an umbrella is a lovely experience. Seeing the gardens in rainfall is a unique experience not many people do. The gardens are just as beautiful in rainfall as they are in the sun, and seeing them in the rain adds that extra bit of magic.
8. The Littledown Centre – Indoor Activities Bournemouth
The Littledown Centre contains a swimming pool with water slides, gym and spa. If the kids want to go swimming in Bournemouth then this is the place to go.
