LIVE Music in Bournemouth – Best Of
Bournemouth has some GREAT live music venues. There are probably too many to list them all here but what we have done is get the Bournemouth GO team together and come up with a list of the best ones.
1. Madding Crowd
Madding Crowd is a live music venue on Commercial Road in Bournemouth.
If you take a look at the live music schedule you will see that is packed full of popular music artists and bands.
Some famous singers come here to perform on a regular basis. And the great thing about this venue is you get to be right in front of them.

There are no barriers here or singers on a stage tens of meters away. It’s more of an intimate affair.
Full table service is included so you don’t need to have to get up and fetch your drinks while watching your favourite live act. Drink prices are really reasonable too!
It’s a relaxed venue with friendly staff.

2. Chaplins and the Cellar Bar
Chaplins is an award-winning bar, restaurant and LIVE music venue based in Christchurch Road, Boscombe, about a 5-minute drive from the centre of Bournemouth.
This bar serves an eclectic mix of drinks ranging from cocktails to real ale.

They have won numerous awards including Pub of the Year, Great British Pub Award Winner, The Best Entertainment Pub South West. The list just goes on and on.
The LIVE music takes place in the Cellar Bar. This cellar gives off great acoustics.
Chaplins features many up and coming artists. Great place to see an artist or band before their career blows up and they become mega-famous.
With something scheduled for every night of the week, there is live music whichever day you decide to go.
Every quarter they throw a beer, cider and wine festival. They also have an absolutely beautiful courtyard garden to sit out in the summer.

3. Canvas
Canvas has a great Loft bar and a LIVE lounge. Decorated differently from the other LIVE music venues on this list. Canvas has a more upmarket, sophisticated feel and is decorated in an artisan decor vibe just like being in a New York loft apartment.
Their emphasis and focus are on quality LIVE acts and leading DJs.
They only hire the best of bartenders with many award-winning bartenders in their mix.
Saturday night is free entry night.
Friday nights are gigs and WORLD CLASS artists in the LIVE Lounge where you can see world-class artists up close and personal.
This Live bar is known to have a great atmosphere.
