Bournemouth has a great shopping centre. It is also surrounded by other small towns with excellent shopping facilities such as Westbourne, Southbourne and Poole.

Bournemouth town centre is a hive of activity. It is home to some large shopping brands such a Primark, Zara, Karen Millen. Cath Kidson, White Stuff and many others. Shopping in Bournemouth is a lot of fun and is a great choice for a day out. Its also by the sea! There are hundreds of high end and boutique shops in Bournemouth.

There is a Mcdonald’s in the town centre as well as a Burger King, and many bars and restaurants.

The high street is pedestrianised so there is no need to dodge traffic while shopping in Bournemouth.

Recently, there is a new department store in town called Bobby’s, with a beauty hall that features a pop-up market of independent traders and businesses and established global beauty brands, an ice-cream parlour, a beauty salon, and a sushi and champagne bar and art gallery. A recent addition is ‘Drool’ a fashionable dog groomer. You can find Bobby’s in the square.

Bournemouth Arcade

Within Bournemouth town centre you will find a few smaller shopping centres and arcades. There are two arcades in Bournemouth. The Avenue Arcade has independent pop up markets, and a beautiful Victorian arcade often called Royal Arcade or just plane Bournemouth Arcade featuring some of the more high end shops in Bournemouth.

Bournemouth Arcade

The Bournemouth Arcade can be found opposite McDonald’s, it is home to high street names such as Ernest Jones, Goldman Arcade Jewellers, Waterstones, Cath Kidson, Space NK, White Stuff and L’Occitane.

The Bournemouth Arcade is a beautiful row of shops built in the Victorian period. The glass roof was added at a later date making it into the arcade we know today.

The shops surround Bournemouth gardens and river, which leads up to Bournemouth Pier and the beach. It’s easy to nip into the gardens at any point in your shopping day and take a quick break from the hustle and bustle.

The Triangle

At one end of the Pedestrianised shopping precinct is the Triangle. Suitably named because it’s in the shape of a triangle. Here you will find the Bournemouth Library and an eclectic mix of shops. From here you can walk downhill to the town centre where a cafe is situated in the middle of the square.

If you follow the pedestrianised precinct upward you will find rows of shops up to Landsdown and Bath hill.

Westover Road

Shopping for designer labels?…then Westover Road, where the Bournemouth Pavilion is, is where you need to go. Here is the perfect place to head to if you’re on the lookout for some new jewellery. This road hosts the finest of jewellery makers.

There are easy travel links to and from the town centre with many bus points lining the pedestrianised shopping precinct.
